Trainer - Food & Beverage, Front of House

Protocol are looking to recruit Vocational Trainers to work in an all male and an all female further education establishment based in Al Khobar and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are looking to recruit Trainers to deliver Food and Beverage as a vocational course to the local community.

Background

An international provider of welfare to work and educational services will be leading a new JOB SCHOOLS PILOT introducing Saudi Arabia to a new welfare to work programme commencing in February 2015. This programme will be the first of its type in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and introduce a new model and way of working into the KSA.

The core concept behind the innovative Job Schools Pilot is that it creates a variety of simulated real workplace environments within a single delivery centre. Each room within the centre replicates a different type of workplace setting, such as a typical café/catering environment encompassing front of house customer service.

In this environment jobseekers can undertake the same tasks, using the same equipment as is likely to be expected of them by a real employer. Through this simulated ‘life like’ working environment, we can address barriers to employment within the context of the workplace (for example, using a cash register to improve numeracy skills; improving literacy by way of practical tasks in an office context; building confidence and interpersonal skills through working with customers in a simulated retail environment) and build jobseeker confidence and motivation in a ‘safe’ environment.

Purpose of the role

The aim of the PILOT is to deliver an exceptional and valued service to unemployed Saudi nationals to support them back into work or in some cases to start work for the first time. The aim of the Job Trainer is to train and assist candidates in becoming “job ready” for Food & Beverage and Front of House Customer Service functions in the work place The trainer role will be to bring all of your experience in Training to support, advise/coach and mentor and ultimately along with your colleagues develop a skilled local work force to enable them to be able to deliver against local financial and quality targets beyond the PILOT and into the future. This of course is along with delivering on other key performance objectives and maintaining a quality driven service which continues to build in reputation among the people it supports and serves.

Key responsibilities and result areas are:

  • Responsible for all aspects of up-skilling, training and support for clients in an F&B and front of house customer service environment
  • Possess an approved hotel and catering qualification
  • Previous experience in a training and/or advisory role relevant to the function
  • Organizing and delivering individual and wider development activities

The salary for this position is up to 10,000 SAR per month this is the equivalent of approximately a £20k annually tax free. If you would like any further information about this position or would like to apply please send your CV to Protocol at international@protocol.co.uk
